South Jordan – According to the statement, the flags were a part of a fundraiser by Project Rainbow.

Project Rainbow volunteers put a Pride or trans flag in donors’ yards during their different campaigns.

Organizers said the donations go towards grants of $100 to $7,000 given to support projects and events that promote LGBTQ visibility in Utah.

A couple flags were stolen, but 4,500 people put a flag in their yard.

Around 30 families requested flags for Pride month.

They said the project was expected double the $55,000 raised in 2020.
