PROVO, Utah-Tuesday, BYU men’s basketball sophomore power forward Wyatt Lowell confirmed he is entering the NCAA transfer portal.

The 6-10 Lowell is the third Cougar to enter the transfer portal in a week, joining junior small forward Connor Harding and junior point guard Jesse Wade.

The Gilbert, Ariz. native transferred to BYU from Utah Valley following the 2018-19 season.

In seven games for the Cougars this season, Lowell posted 2 points and 1.1 rebounds before injuring his Achilles at Gonzaga January 7.

Lowell will have three years of eligibility for the school he next commits to play for.

BYU head coach Mark Pope has previously said Lowell has “All-American potential” in his game.
