PROVO, Utah – Dozens of volunteers turned out for the annual spring cleaning event on Saturday at Dimple Dell Canyon and Nature Park in Sandy.
“Our Earth Day cleanup is a wonderful way to give back to the community and demonstrate stewardship for a public open space we all love,” organizers with the Dimple Dell Preservation Community said. “Each year the hard work of our volunteers puts the shine on the park just as it’s about to burst with the colors and new life of spring.”
The group recruits help to remove trash and broken limbs, as well as freshen up the look of the 630-acre natural park each year.
This is the fifth year the surrounding community has come together for the spring event, after it was postponed last year due to the nascent spread of COVID-19.
