Utah COVID-19 update: 13 more deaths, 468 new cases documented in past day

PROVO, Utah — The Utah Department of Health on Wednesday reported 468 new cases of COVID-19 and 13 deaths documented in the past day.

Positive cases now stand at 401,251. Of the 13 deaths, 12 occurred prior to April 12, but were just documented. Total virus deaths in Utah now stand at 2,249.

The 13 who died were:

  • Two females, older than 85, Salt Lake County residents, hospitalized at time of death
  • Two males, older than 85, Utah County residents, long-term care facility residents
  • A male, older than 85, Weber County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • Two females, older than 85, Salt Lake County residents, long-term care facility residents
  • A female, older than 85, Wasatch County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • A male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • A male, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
  • A female, between 65-84, Washington County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
  • A male, older than 85, Salt Lake County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
  • A female, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized at time of death

Vaccines administered in Utah number 2,340,755, an increase of 13,602 since Monday.
