OREM, Utah — Utah Valley heads to Ogden for a Tuesday midweek non-conference contest at Weber State with first pitch set for 4 p.m. MT.
The Wolverines (14-17) are coming off of a WAC series win at California Baptist, taking two of three from the Lancers over the weekend in Riverside. UVU was 3-1 overall last week, with the series win preceded by a 2-1 win at Utah State last Tuesday.
Devyn Cretz went 3-0 with a 1.00 ERA in 21.0 innings of work in the circle and was named the TicketSmarter WAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday for the third time in her career. Cretz leads the WAC with a 2.65 ERA, is third in wins, and also leads the league with three saves.
After a complete-game victory at Utah State, Cretz and Katie Zuniga combined on a 2-0 shutout in the series opener at CBU. Cretz followed that with a four-hit shutout in game two, a 9-0 Wolverine win. UVU hit five home runs during the doubleheader, including four in game two.
Linnah Rebolledo homered in both games and is tied for the team lead with Rien MIlliken — who leads the team with a .391 average — and Sienal Sandoval with five home runs. UVU is tied with New Mexico State in total home runs with 28.
