TOOELE, Utah — A water boil advisory remains in place in Tooele for the Loma Vista and Skyline Ridge subdivisions. The boil advisory was issued on Friday because of a damaged water line. It affects the area east of Droubay Road, west of Canyon Overlook Drive, north of Skyline Drive, and those on 270 South.

Tooele City announced their advisory saying they believe they have the impact isolated and are taking precautions to ensure water quality.

In the meantime, they advise boiling any water before drinking and cooking until further notice.

Guidelines for boiling water

Tooele City says in their Water Boil Advisory that if you live in the affected area, do not drink the water without boiling it first.

Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for three minutes, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water.

Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
