Provo, UTAH – According to the statement, Utah County Metro Special Response Team members from Provo, Pleasant Grove, American Fork, Lone Peak, Lehi, and Saratoga Springs, responded to a Trench Rescue Training Scenario in the area of Lehi Station 82 (in the Lehi City Shops area) for a vehicle in a trench that had pinned Rescue Randy (Rescue Manakin) eight feet down.
Officials said that the multi-agency team was able to use shoring, and lifting system equipment from Provo’s Heavy Rescue 21 to secure the sides of the trench, lift the vehicle, and hoist Randy to safety.
