Provo, UT – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred around 1:20 p.m. Monday.
Witnesses said that multiple individuals were beating up a man in the area of 3600 South and 8400 West in Magna.
The victim was transported to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.
Unfortunately, he died about an hour later.
The victim has been identified as resident Fred Valdamar Ortiz.
Authorities have multiple people in custody and are working to figure out which of them were involved in the beating and which ones were watching. They are between 18 years old and early 20s.
