Utah – According to the statement, a portion of a very busy street is shutting down for months starting Monday night.
That’s right, starting Monday at 7 p.m., all eastbound and westbound traffic on 6200 South will be blocked at Bangerter Highway. People will be allowed to turn right onto Bangerter from 6200 South. Note that drivers will not be permitted to travel under the overpass while it’s under construction.
Officials have reported that high number of traffic accidents is the main reason why.
According to the police officials, at least 25 crashes occurred near the intersection of 6200 South and the Bangerter Highway.
Police say one of those traffic accidents led to critical injuries.
Several were the result of drivers speeding too quickly through the construction site.
