Provo, UT- Provo Police are encouraging their citizens to register their bikes in order to minimize the thefts and aid in finding them.
“Not only is it something that Provo City has made easy to do, it’s actually required by Provo City ordinance,” Provo police detective Paul Shade said.
For registration of the bike, owners need the serial number which can be found on the bike frame and any specific details about the bike.
Those specific details are important as they are crucial to the police in locating the stolen bikes and compensating owners for missing or damaged parts.
