Suspect arrested after a standoff with police

Terra, Utah – According to the police officials, his name is Andie Jacob Adamson and he has been charged with several felonies including aggravated assault and burglary, assault of a peace officer, felony discharge of a firearm and criminal mischief.

The suspect made threats to ambush police at the time of his arrest and so is being held for continued detention.

This unfortunate incident occurred Friday in the area of State Route 199 and 1st Street in Terra.

Police say the suspect was watching two people through a handgun. Both victims hid behind a trailer and after allegedly firing a total of four shots, the suspect ran into a field.

Police say the suspect was found in a residence he had been occupying but where family members said repeatedly he was not allowed to be in.

The standoff eventually ended when Adamson give up and was taken into custody without incident.
