PROVO, Utah – The Utah Department of Health on Wednesday reported seven more COVID-17 deaths and 2,009 more positive cases confirmed in the past 24 hours.
That brings the total positive cases to 340,684 and cumulative deaths to 1,620.
The seven newly reported deaths were of:
- A male, between 65-84, Millard County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- A male, between 65-84, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- A male, between 45-64, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- A male, older than 85, Tooele County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- A male, between 65-84, Washington County resident, long-term care facility resident
- A female, between 45-64, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
- A male, older than 85, Grand County resident, hospitalized at time of death
Vaccines administered number 250,448, which is 12,811 more than yesterday.
Lab tests administered for coronavirus number 1,989,106, an increase of 10,156 people tested since yesterday.
The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 1,758 per day. The rolling seven-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 18.44%.
There are 452 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 13,217.
