Hot summer temperatures are sending more Utahns to lakes to beat the heat

Provo, UT – Note that the water rescue crews are concerned.

Last month, crews were making multiple rescues a day and at least four Utahns drowned.

Search and rescue crews are often called out for stranded kayakers or jet skiers that have broken down or have taken on water.

Their rescues are at night during rough weather, but they were still intense on a sunny day.

Changing weather is the biggest danger on the water.

Already this season, multiple Utahns have drowned and died. The crews have seen it all and say a fun day at the lake can turn tragic quicker than you may think.
