PCP is working to restore service after a large outage Wednesday afternoon

PROVO, Utah – According to the officials, the power outage started mid-afternoon and around 4:00 p.m. PCP issued a statement on social media saying they had determined the cause:

Provo City Power officials said:

“Crews were pulling In a transmission conductor line which then fell into the distribution line causing the outage.

The crews are working on repairing the line and replacing a fuse. Power should be restored in 15 minutes.”
