Salt Lake City – According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, the shooting occurred right after 1 a.m. early Saturday morning.
It happened in the area of 900 South Edison Street.
Salt Lake City Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found one adult male victim.
Police said the victim suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation shows the shooting stemmed from an isolated fight between a group of people.
Police say several witnesses left the scene before they arrived.
This incident remains under investigation.
