PROVO, Utah — A bar in Salt Lake City, Utah is reopening its dining room, but only to vaccinated customers.

The bar, called The Bayou, has been getting angry phone calls following the decision.

Mark Alston of The Bayou told KSTU the bar has been receiving calls from people saying they will no longer be dining there.

“I hope your business tanks after this,” one caller is heard telling Alston.

“This is our requirement to keep everyone safe because we have to make those decisions,” Alston said. “We are following the CDC guidelines. The guidelines are clear. When fully vaccinated hang out with others fully vaccinated, no masks eating drinking, totally fine. When not, keep masks on.”

The bar has received dozens of angry phone calls since the announcement.
