PROVO, Utah – If you snooze, you lose.
There were plenty of reasons to snooze during BYU’s 48-7 drubbing of Troy on Saturday night at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah, too.
This late, late show had one highlight out of the blue, however. During the third quarter, the ESPN cameras panned the cardboard crowd. And there “sat” Green Bay Packers running back Jamaal Williams, who is a former BYU star.
He had a pretty good seat, too. He was next to Jim McMahon, who was in a Chicago Bears uniform instead of a Packers outfit.
In front of Williams was ex-BYU basketball great Jimmer Fredette, who was with the Milwaukee Bucks for about as long as it takes Aaron Jones to run 75-yards for a touchdown.
Saints jack-of-all-trades Taysom Hill, a BYU star who was cut by the Packers before the start of the 2017 season, was in the front row of the celebrities. The front rooooooow? He must know Bob Uecker.
Williams did have a better spot than Marie Osmond. So her night may have ended on a sour note.
