Ephraim, UT- The Police reported that on Thursday, a woman for whom a Silver Alert was issued was found deceased.
86-year-old Margaret Shirleen Peterson, suffered from dementia and had special needs, the officials said.
The last time she was seen alive was on Thursday morning, on Feb.3, 2022 at 2:15 a.m. at 55 South 200 East in Ephraim.
Everyone helped in the search, including students at Snow College, as they searched all buildings connected to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the nearby schools. Residents also contributed with checking their doorbell cameras and searching their properties.
“We are sorry to inform the public that Shirlene has been found deceased. Our sincere condolences go out to the family,” the Sanpete County Sheriff’s office said in a statement Thursday afternoon. “We would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter.”
Police did not disclose the information of circumstances of her death or the location where she was found.
