PROVO, UT –On Sunday, a nurse was attacked by a teenager who was a patient at Utah Valley Regional Hospital.
Nika Podoprygora, 19 was arrested for attacking a nurse after she couldn’t receive an item she was not permitted to have.
Reportedly, the patient grabbed the victim by his throat and dug her nails into him. The victim had multiple scratches and puncture wounds on his neck, and was left with a one-inch laceration on the nurse’s head after scratching him.
The nurse is willing to press charges. Podoprygora has been arrested on one count of assault and booked into Utah County Jail.
