Utah County under the attack of professional burglars for vehicle thefts

UTAH COUNTY, UT- Authorities believe that an experienced group of thieves is behind the four vehicle thefts in one night.

Witnesses to that were Cody and Sheena Cook from Spanish Fork, who watched their trailer being taken away while hooked on a truck, which was later connected to three more vehicle burglaries in Utah County.

The police confirmed that the same night when Cooks had their trailer stolen, three more vehicle thefts were reported in Pleasant Grove, American Fork, and Lehi, all done in a couple of hours.

Lt. Josh Christensen with American Fork Police Department allegedly said they outsmarted the theft victims by quietly rolling the vehicles out of the driveways and vanished in silence.

“They’re getting smart,” Cook said. “We just need to come together as a community and get smarter.”
