UTAH – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 11 p.m. Friday.
It happened in the 300 West in Spanish Fork.
Authorities say an officer came to an intersection, he had the right-of-way and proceeded through the intersection.
Another vehicle, coming in the other direction failed to stop and struck the police car.
The driver then hit a pedestrian.
Police say the pedestrian was pinned between the car and a tree.
Both victims, the pedestrian and the officers, suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital.
The female driver was arrested and booked for DUI.
