UTAH – According to the statement, according Summit County Sheriff’s deputies responded for a report of domestic violence.
A man had hit the woman in addition to threatening her with a machete.
A 44-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman had left the area by the time deputies arrived.
Deputies stopped the suspect’s vehicle 15 miles away and conducted a search of the vehicle.
They found small amounts of methamphetamine, marijuana and a machete.
The man was arrested on suspicion of drugs, weapons and domestic violence charges.
