MAGNA, Utah — According to the police officials, his name is Omar Isael Gómez Salazar.
The 28-year-old man lives in Colorado and had arrived in Salt Lake for work on Thursday.
He also has two children with a domestic partner or wife.
This incident occurred at a home near 8200 West and Westbury Drive around 9:50 p.m. Friday.
The shooting was caught on video by a Ring doorbell camera.
The 44-year-old man was later arrested while driving south on I-15 near Scipio.
Alvarez was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on charges of aggravated murder, failure to stop at the command of a police officer, DUI and carrying a dangerous weapon under the influence.
